BOSTON (AP) - There will be a new champion in the NBA. The defending champion Celtics are going home for the offseason.
Orlando beat the Celtics 101-82 in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference semifinal Sunday night in Boston. Orlando shot 51 percent from the field and jumped on Boston early, building a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never trailed after the opening minute.
Dwight Howard was the major inside force with 12 points, 16 rebounds and five blocked shots. Hedo Turkoglu had 25 points with 12 assists as the Magic heads to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 1996.
Orlando moves on to face Cleveland in the conference finals starting Wednesday night in Cleveland.
