Fire damages Providence furniture store

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Firefighters are investigating a fire that burned through a furniture store late Thursday night.

Flames broke out at Menyongar New and Used Furniture on North Main Street around 9:00 p.m. The store is on the first floor of a three-story building, which has apartments on the second and third floor.

Firefighters said everyone in the building evacuated safely, and there were no injuries.

The furniture store suffered heavy damage. It's unknown if any of the apartments were damaged.
