This week on Executive Suite: Andrew Yang, founder of Venture for America, a new nonprofit that aims to do for young entrepreneurs and struggling economies what Teach for America did for teachers and struggling schools. The program is kicking off with a boot camp at Brown University and Providence is one of its launch cities.
On the second half, Providence College accounting professor Michael Kraten discusses a 2010 paper he co-authored that gave an early warning signal about the possibility that banks were toying with the London interbank offered rate - Libor - a crucial interest rate that has now caused a scandal on both sides of the Atlantic.
