This week on Executive Suite, a look at two businesses in Pawtucket: Providence Yarn and Foolproof Brewing.

Terry Schuster, president of Providence Yarn Co., is the third generation of her family to run the company, which sells both industrial yarns and recreational yarns for knitting. She discusses how her management team rebooted the company starting in 2005, allowing it to expand to a new location two years ago.

Nick Garrison, president of Foolproof Brewing Co., left a corporate career to start his own local brewery after deciding to turn his home-brewing hobby into a profession. The company will begin brewing within weeks. Garrison discusses the challenges of getting a brewer started and why he has high hopes for craft beers.
