This week on Executive Suite: John Simmons, executive director of the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council, and Stephen Angell, president and CEO of Dexter Credit Union.

Simmons talks about a new study called "Moving the Needle" [ PDF] that his group co-authored with the R.I. Senate Policy Office at the request of Senate President M. Teresa Paiva Weed. He talks about state leaders' new commitment to turning around Rhode Island's economy and Governor Chafee's budget plan.

Angell took the helm at Dexter Credit Union, the only financial institution headquartered in Central Falls, in 2009. He talks about the challenges of doing business in a city that went bankrupt and why his company is spending millions of dollars renovating his facility there. He also offers his ideas for economic development.
