(WPRI/WNAC) - Look up Rhode Island, that's the name of the big air show down at Quonset Point. It's free, and filled with attractions.
Air traffic over the bay will be busy, as two jet fighter
performance teams will be in the sky. The Navy's Blue Angels and
the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.
Having both of these teams in the same place is a rarity. You
can also see the fly-bys and stunt planes and many
demonstrations.
As part of
Newport's
Sunset Music Series Susan Tedeschi will be on stage Saturday
night.
She's an American blues and soul artist who has risen to fame
with multiple Grammy award nominations and has established herself
as one of New Englands top-drawing live acts.
Susan hits the stage at The Newport Yachting center at 7
p.m.
And it's free for all saturday at the RISD Museum. The theme is landscapes: Real and imagined which can take you on a special quest through the gallery looking for clues.
