Like many weather enthusiasts, Michelle is passionate about theweather and has a great respect for Mother Nature. She hascovered blizzards, hurricanes, tornadoes, nor'easters, cold spells,heat waves and everything in between. When she's not watchingthe weather or tracking a storm, Michelle can be found travelingaround southern New England speaking at area schools andorganizations about the weather.
Michelle is an associate member of the AmericanMeteorological Society and a member of the National WeatherAssociation. She earned a degree in Journalismfrom the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and aCertification in Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
In addition to her weather duties, Michelle is a weather andfeature reporter for Eyewitness News.
Michelle came to WPRI/WNAC-TV from WCIV-TV in Charleston, SouthCarolina where she forecasted the weather for the weekendbroadcasts. While in South Carolina, she covered HurricaneGaston's direct hit to the area, along with the tornadoes, severethunderstorms and flooding spawned by Hurricanes Charley andFrances.
Michelle was born and raised in Butler, Pennsylvania. Sheloves the outdoors and, in her free time, enjoys running, ridingher bike and boating on Narragansett Bay. When the snowstarts falling, she hits the ski slopes. Michelle is marriedto Eyewitness Sportscaster Pete Lucas. They live on the East Baywith their rescued Golden Retriever/Border Collie Mix,Libby.
